Windows saves jpeg pictures as just black. Right click a picture select save and its just black. Have uninstalled windows default picture manager and set Paint.net as the default. It still does it. Although now Paint.net does save correctly. Before I uninstalled the picture manager it was all applications even if I created the jpeg in the application. Now it just seems to be Windows. I suspect some DLL corruption. Any help appreciated.Windows 10 Pro ver 22H2 up to date. Continue reading...

Hi there,From one day to another, the chat box in the new Teams (for work and school), is partially covered by the taskbar:In the previous version, that's not happening:The last one will be discontinued in July, forcing me to use the New Teams. The only valid solution is to clear the New Teams cache on: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeamsand delete all files and folders in the directory and it works, but only until the next comp restart. So what can I do? Someone with a reliable solution? You are much appreciated. Continue reading...

How to enable Secure Boot State and TPM 2.0 on American Megatrends?
by Guest Maria36-- 0 replies
I just got my all-in-one desktop pc back from a repair shop since its hard drive was broken and needs to be replaced. When I got it back it shows that Secure Boot is disable so I'm trying to enable it together with TPM through tutorials, but I can't seem to find "secure boot" on my UEFI settings. Furthermore, there are limited information on American Megatrends on the internet, and some has different UI to what is shown on my screen. It was fine before I sent it for repairs. Is there a way to fix this? My system information shows:OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 Continue reading...

What happens when you do a FULL SCAN in MSERT(Microsoft Safety Scanner) you get infected files and in the end everything is fine.
by Guest MOHIT SETHI1- 0 replies

I started a 'FULL SCAN' in MSERT(Microsoft Safety Scanner) and in between I saw 4 files infected and the scan was in middle only. I left it and came back after 4-5 hours and saw 'SCAN WAS COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY AND NO VIRSUSES, SPYWARE, AND OTHER POTENTIALLY UNWANTED SOFTWARE WERE DETECTED.' so I wanted to know what exactly happened to the infected files? What decision was taken for them? This happens every time the time. Continue reading...

Minecraft: You don't own the game
by Guest Innovators World Wide- 0 replies

MMany year ago I purchased Minecraft. It was during the time Microsoft Store (windows 8) was offering Bedrock Edition for free if you purchased the game. I had it and played it for years. A few years back they "forced" migration from Mojang to Microsoft. We were given a cape. I Migrated my wife and my account. Everything worked fine for years again. Up until recently I was able to log in without any issues. Now, When I log in it says I don't own Minecraft. I do have the Xbox gamepass and if I log in to the launcher it fails sometimes and sometimes logs me in with my Gamepass. The gamepass has Continue reading...

Actual size of the Windows 10 ISO bootable file?
by Guest SheikhTashdeedAhmed- 0 replies
Hi, I want to know about the actual size of the Windows 10 ISO bootable file.I used the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft official website and then downloaded the ISO file from within the set-up and then used RUFUS v4.5 to create a bootable Win 10 64 bit thumb drive using GPT-NTFS.Previously, in 2022 when I did so, the bootable drive was around 7.9 GB but now it shows only 4.58 GB used! It's a good thing that the file size is lower but I am concerned that the process has not be done properly. The ISO file downloaded via the Media Creation Tool itself is 4.77 GB. Shrunk to 4.58 GB into the Continue reading...

I am trying to transfer videos from my JVC Everio camcorder to my laptop. I haven't used this camcorder in two years. But I have all the videos I transferred onto this laptop from two years ago. I don't have the software on the laptop so I tried using the the manual instructions, but I am still getting the same error message. I looked at youtube tutorials for this message and they all say to go into device manager or device settings and go into edit power plan, change device settings and USB settings". I don't have any of these USB settings where it says they should be. Not sure why I don't. A Continue reading...

How do I get rid of OneDrive from my Windows 11 pc?
by Guest Windows 11 userP- 0 replies

It's pretty self-explanatory. Every time I download, install, or pretty much do anything on my PC, it defaults to inside the OneDrive folder, and it is getting annoying. For example, my Documents folder is inside the OneDrive folder, and it won't let me change the location to the default. Also when I tried uninstalling OneDrive, the folder still appeared in my file explorer, and it still saved everything to that folder. Continue reading...

Can I retrieve my data from my Laptop that wont boot?
by Guest EthanM123- 0 replies

My Asus ux430ua laptop had trouble booting for a couple years now but I have always been able to get it going after mashing power a few times. Just yesterday though, I was unable to boot and I would get a blue screen with error code 0xc0000185. I ended up trying a bunch of things like repair start and repair bcd using windows install media on a flash drive but nothing works. I also ran chkdsk which didn't return any errors and I don’t have and flashback states or backups. After doing these things the error is now 0xc0000001. At this point it says I cannot reset windows because there are missin Continue reading...
