Ongoing audio issues - no sound
by Guest RenaeCatlin- 0 replies
Why does my audio regularly stop working? I have to keep going to help and run a troubleshooter which usually says, "there's a problem with your audio settings configuration". I think another time it mentioned "driver". Sometimes it says, "unexpected error occurred and cannot find steps to fix the issue". The sound will also disappear if I happen to have plugged in headphones, so I no longer use headphones, as it messes with the audio every time. I'm not computer savvy, and when this happens, I feel like throwing the laptop out the window (I've only this laptop a few months). I have Windows 1 Continue reading...

Starting off my pc has been working perfectly fine and yesterday I was using a program to change my resolution (Custom Resolution Utility) and it randomly froze my PC after using it and when I restarted my PC it has an infinite loading screen and I don’t know what to do. I have tried restarting my PC many times and that didn’t work, also when it loads me into the system repair/recovery I cannot restore or reset or use any of the options because it asks me for my microsoft password and when I enter it it says that it’s incorrect even though I’m positive I entered it correctly. by Guest Ashley Price- 0 replies

Okay, so Windows on my wife's laptop decided to do an update yesterday. It was stuck for ages on 7% then went to "Restarting" but sat there for over an hour. Checking (reputable) sites on the internet, said to reboot - which I tried, but it went back to trying to install updates, said it was at 7% then went to Restarting and then sat there again for over an hour. Rebooted a second time and this time it came up with the "Cannot Complete Updates" and again sat like this for nearly an hour. Tried another reboot, it came back to this screen again but after about 20 minutes then said it was "Restar Continue reading...

Applications will randomly close/crash, including google chrome web browser. I am also getting blue screens quite often. I've scanned for malware with windows defender numerous times, and also malwarebytes, and there's never any malware present. I've used sfc, and DISM multiple times, and it never resolves the issue, as well as powershell. I also tried resetting windows completely, and got a blue screen during that. All drivers are up to date as far as I can tell, bios is also updated to the most recent version. Here's the most recent minidump from trying to install repair version of windows u Continue reading...

Hi, I can't seem to get onto my desktop and I'm presented with a grey screen after entering my password. So I just built a new PC a few days ago and installed Windows 11 Pro. Aside from struggling a bit to get past the prompts without an ethernet connection, I managed to get onto the desktop and connect to wifi. Everything worked fine besides not having Windows activated. Today, however, I turned on my PC there was some kind of information dialogue with percentages on the loading screen before it brought me to the lock screen but I didn't read or understand what it said. I entered my password Continue reading...

Issue is, its a new out tof the box processor, board, ssd (sata) and 2 Tb hdd.. I can only think that perhaps the files or the flash drive itself are faulty? 0xc0000098 Continue reading...
