My sons laptop gives us this message when he starts it and after it says he has to ask for more permission. I've gone into my account and removed the restrictions. Internet is connected. I've restarted both computers. I've hard-started his. I've turned the internet on and off and restarted both computers. My laptop and phone show the updated screen time. Anyone have any other ideas?View the full article

I tried to download & install the 24H2 update last week on my ASUS machine and had to recover the previous version, 23H2. The whole process took around 2 hours. My Windows 11 is now trying to install the update without my permission. I do not want to run this update until I have assurances from Microsoft Technical support that all of the known issues have been addressed.View the full article

For months now, every time I try turn on my PC, it pops up on my monitor that my PC did not start properly under 'Automatic Repair'. I have tried all the different options it allows me yet it never works. I have bought new RAM and it still doesn't work. I'm very frustrated and I would love if there were any other suggestions as to how I can get my PC to work again. I understand there could be a lot of variables that cause this issue but the last thing I want to do is spend any more money on it unless absolutely necessary.Thank you.View the full article

So last night I was playing a game with my mate and suddenly bluetooth just stops working, the devices didn't turn off or anything, just a random disconnection, anyway so I said I'll restart my computer, and when I do, bluetooth isn't showing up on my quick menu or actually able to connect through settings. It doesn't show up in device manager without showing hidden properties. I don't know what to do. View the full article

I am currently running Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100. I used this PC with a local account for around a year (never linked to my Microsoft account). I only have one user account on my PC which is what I use for everything, and it has admin access. I have never had an issue viewing, opening, or editing files. My account works for everything that requires admin permission. I am not the best with computers, so I have never done anything to mess around with the file permission settings. I recently decided to switch my local account to a Microsoft account. Under settings > accounView the full article

I have a Windows 11 computer, and this will be the last Windows computer. With my last computer and now with this one the Bluetooth keeps getting deleted and now the Webcam isn't working. This computer is less than 3 months old, and the problems exist on both OS. Why does Microsoft fail like this constantly? I'm fed up with troubleshooting. I wish MS would stop F**k with stuff. My PC does not have OneDrive installed on it, anywhere, yet buried in my user profile there it is with all of my files, I hate it and I do not want my files in the cloud ever. The issue is a few weeks ago, I came across an issue with saving an Excel file and it defaulted to a OneDrive save folder. That got me to investigate where it is saving it; low and behold in my User folder I have a nested OneDrive folder that is now the default save location. I want everything locally saved and I can manually control what and where I back up my files but to my surprise I cannot move those files or removeView the full article

I have written a program that uses System.Speech.Recognition. I actually started working on the program way back on XP and through all the years and different versions of Windows XP, 7 and 10 the "Advanced Speech Options" had "Recognition Profiles" users could setup and training their profiles. In Windows 11 that is all now gone and my users can no longer make my program work better by training their profile to improve speech recognition accuracy. If it is buried somewhere in Windows 11 please tell me where. If it was taken out please put it back in as its absence has degraded the functionalView the full article

We are experiencing sporadic instances of Windows 10 devices that we add to our Windows 11 Optional Feature update group that are either prompting users to update their PCs to Windows 11 or possibly even pushing this update. The expected behavior and the one we saw in our testing late last year was that the option to upgrade to Windows 11 only presented itself to the users when they invoked a check for updates as we documented previously and outlined below.Open the Windows update settings by clicking Start > Settings > Update & Security.Click the Check for updatesView the full article

Id like to see windows add more customizable features like having different and more customizable variants of the taskbar, Built by windows so I know its not a virus, Or making complete OS variants, probably used the wrong wording there, But making it so you can change how the actual home screen and other things look, because I do like windows 8 Slide for homepage feature, But im not downgrading just for that.2, It would be nice if windows made their old versions open source for development purposes, Because Id want to modify old windows versions on a VM easily for fun, I also think other peoView the full article

When trying to update Windows 11, Windows Update results are "We can't install this update, but you can try again (0x80248007).I have research the issue and tried all the recommended solutions.
