I have JBL Quantum 200 headset with microphone. My splitter has both the mic and headphones cables plugged in. The issue occurred when I was talking with someone when out of a sudden sound from my computer like game sound, spotify, yt etc. could be heard through my microphone (people I was talking with heard the music I played only on my end, didn't stream or share anything it just went through my mic). I tested most things, turned off mix stereo, checked my splitter with my older microphone which worked without any audio coming from my pc, got the newest drivers and the issue is still presentView the full article

I keep having an issue where files will 'forget' all the progress I made on them. I know that I saved the files because it happened to a file that I copied to somewhere else in my computer. I had a revision history, and working document folder. I copied from the working document to the revision history folder, both files date modified said '2/12/2025 11:52 PM'. An hour later, the document in the working document folder now said '2/10/2025 10:11 AM', and was missing the progress I had made, but the document in the revisions folder was up to date.View the full article

I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 on my home-built PC. My old one was AMD. But even after updating the Nvidia driver today, I still get an error message when I turn on my computer: "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware." I also get this: "A driver cannot load on this device. A security setting is detecting this as a vulnerable driver and blocking it from loading. You'll need to adjust your settings to load this driver." The driver listed in that error message is AMDRyzen. WhenView the full article

The USB plug-in keyboard for the desktop PC stops working when a laptop under the same Microsoft account is turned on. Both devices are couple of years old and problem only recently started.A replacement keyboard has been tried and drivers updated (including uninstalling and re-installing) on desktop. This conflict still occurs when no programs running on the laptop, bas soon laptop is powered off, the keyboard magically works (no PC restart needed or anything) Running Windows 10 on both devices, with outlook for same account on both. There is no file sharing software set up and not networkeView the full article

I recently discontinued my subscription to Office 365. I checked moved/ deleted the few files on my One Drive (never used, only a few things were saved there by accident), uninstalled 365 and installed the purchased standalone version of Office apps. On the next restart (after install of KB5051974) the entire desktop is altered, all my data files are gone including bookmarks, etc., all my system settings have been changed too (app defaults, etc.) but all the applications are still intact and working. I have system restore on but it shows no restore points are saved. I tried an uninstall of View the full article

Hello! Multiple users in my environment are running into a daily Driver Verifier DMA Violation BSOD. The issue for all three started in January and all three are using the same model laptop ( HP ProBook 450), running Win10 Pro 22H2, and running on HP BIOS v01.13.00. The only common external peripheral is an HP USB-C Dock. HP Support has not been helpful so I wanted tot reach out to the community here. All crashes are coming back with code 0xE6 and stating that ntkrnlmp.exe is affected. So far I've tried the following:-Checked for updates via Windows Updates – none found-Checked for Driver/BIOS View the full article

Microsoft has been pressuring me to upgrade to Windows 11 for a long time now. I do not need all the stuff Window 11 offers. It looks like I have no choice anyway. I NEED TO KNOW IF THE PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE I HAVE IN MY COMPUTER WILL STILL WORK? I do not want to have to purchase new software as it is not cheep! I also do not know what a passkey is. will I have to dream up all new passwords? Do you know how much trouble that would be??? Then, Windows 11 does not come with instructions, right? It sounds too complicated and I'm not sure I could figure it out. I'm mainly concerned about the arView the full article

Hello!I have been having problems trying to update from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I have tried pretty much everything that is recommended to do - so do not come with solutions like "update your BIOS" or "check faulty RAM" (I have tried with both my old RAM sticks and my brand new ones, same issue). Initially, at about the 48% mark during the update, I always get a BSOD with the KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error - without any indication of which driver. After it has reset the update and I go to Windows Update, it displays the error code 0xc1900101.In my SetupDiag results I could find the followView the full article

Earlier tonight I put my computer into sleep mode, but left the screen up. Just a few minutes ago, I heard my keyboard turn on. It makes a loud beep. I looked over and my monitors were on. My computer decided it needed to update and restart while in sleep mode. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen. Is this a new feature of Windows 10?View the full article
