i accidentally hit an optional update from windows live update for my hp printer laser jet 1020.from that day on my Microsoft office 2010 can not connect to my printer. but i can print with my printer other stuff like photos, web pages,..... it just doesn't connect to my Microsoft office 2010 all of a sudden.i even used different troubleshooters, downloaded latest printer driver but still nothing.any idea how to fix that?im starting to think i should uninstall my Microsoft office and reinstall it again. Hi I am running windows 7 premium Intel i5-64 bit. The problem is I keep getting the same up dates they are. KB2729449-KB2737019-KB2742595-KB2789642-KB2791765(THIS ONE ALWAYS FAILS) I check for updates to find the above available, I have downloaded them individually KB279165 always fails to download. All the others are shown in the download history but do not seem to install. I have restarted my laptop after down load. But if I then check for updates the same ones come up again. I have run Microsoft Fix it and it say fixed three problems. But the same updates are always there, Any help would be great. Kind Regards Tony View this thread

After I upgraded MSN, I noticed, the Messenger icon dissapeared. When I click on the Messenger shortcut, I received the message below: Windows is searching for msnmsgr.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse Then, right after I have the following error message: The drive or network connection that the shortcut “Windows Live Messenger .ink’ refers to is unavailable. Hi I'm not sure what update the above refers to but everytime I switch my Sony Vaio it tries to install up to 3380 then the above error message displays on a black screen and the laptop freezes. I have tried a System Restore from various restore points which also doesnt help, I get error message "System Restore failed while deleting the following file/directory D:\WindowsSystem32migwizreplacementmanifestsmicrosoft-hyper-v-drivers-migra"..Then it cuts off I really dont want to carry out a restore as I will lose my entire itunes library and everthing else on my laptop. I have 4 updates failing to install for Windows 8 Pro x64. The 4 updates that are failing are KB2756872, KB2770917, KB2779768, and KB2785094. I've tried everything I could find on the internet, but had no luck. Windows update gives me the error code 80073718 when it fails. Hi,I am experiencing a problem with Window Update. I cannot list any Windows Security Update in "Installed Updates" and there is no update in "View Update History". It does not give me an option to restore hidden updates.I think windows update got corrupted. I tried to run System Update Readiness Tool but it took almost 1 hour and I thought I got stuck. I have a windows 7 package and am currently unable to install windows updates and Updates are failing to configure. I have tried to add a device namely an ipod shuffle, the driver can not be found and when windows tries to sort out the issue automatically it fails to do so, despite telling me i need the UBS MASS DRIVER. So i recently upgraded my windows vista to a windows 8, the first two weeks everything ran smoothly, and then i started seeing problems with the software relating specifically to my speakers and built in microphone. So around the second week of having windows 8 installed my microphone stopped working, i went in and tried to figure out what is wrong with it, and could not find anything, and then about another week later i was noticing, that my speaker volume was behaving weird too, the sound would rise and lower randomly while watching a video.
