Connecting to my Win XP (SP3) computer via RDP (Win7 RDP client Win XP RDP server) crashes XP (BSOD, 0x1000007E) upon copy/paste operation.I want to update to the latest rdpdr.sys, because that's what the BSOD says is the problem.The latest rdpdr.sys (I can find) is from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978787/en-us, version 5.1.2600.5950BUT, there is no download button, no hotfix. Before I rebooted, my Windows Update would not work. After I rebooted, it still won't work. I'm trying to install a Chinese language pack, so my computer will be able to read Chinese. I am running windows 7 64 bit home premium. My antivirus is MSE.I have not had problems with updating before. The updates of 10/4/13 were all fine apart from KB 2808735. I have had repeated offerings of the same .NET Framework4 updates, which install successfully and show as installed updates. I have read and tried to apply solutions offered on many similar threads over the past year, all unsuccessful... these include running the repair for .NET Framework 4 on control panel-&gt programs-&gt uninstall FixIt for windows update, (before and after resetting IE, both basic and aggressive modes). I've had my laptop around a month, this morning it was working fine and when turning it on this afternoon it decided to automatic update and restart. Upon restarting I come to the welcome screen but cant log on because the mouse doesn't work and none of the keys on the keyboard do either.
