I am running an HP with Window 7 Home Premium and haven't updated in a good 8 months. I recently tried to update and I kept getting errors. ''Windows Update Service Not Running''... So I had tried to troubleshoot windows updates for any problems. After completion, it said that "Windows Updates Components Need to be Reparied'' so I went online and found a ''Fix it''... Ran the windows update tool because I was seeing a lot of failed updates, but now .... I keep getting promted to restart my computer because that's what it needs, yet there is no update history to view. Also, after the update tool runs, it configures windows and that fials and it reverts, to no history. No idea at all. Help. Updates for Windows 7 (64 bits) have failed to download. The error code that comes up is #80240216 for the Windows update KB2809289. I've tried doing everything the computer suggested with no luck and now my computer acts as if it has downloaded a virus. Any ideas out there? View this thread

I updated my Windows 7 a couple days ago and now the internet doesn't work and cannot find my wireless connection (that is working), cannot print stating that it cannot find the printer, and I cannot back date it to the day before because it gives me an error message that it cannot complete the process. How can I get the Clock on the Windows Sidebar to work again? I have a Windows Vista 32-bit Computer. I uninstall IE-9 because the computer became sluggish and was having a lot of issues getting onto the Internet. Often times when the browser is launched, only a blank page comes up. At the same time Taskbar is indicates that it is waiting for the target website to respond. It is stuck in that mode for an extremely long time. I've been trying to get Windows 8 Pro to update and I keep getting error code 80070052. I've tried doing the clean boot trick with msconfig. I've also let the troubleshooter "repair" some files. It always says it fixed the problem, but when I try again I get the same error code saying the Windows update is unable to complete with the number 80070052. The last time it checked for an update was on March 5, 2013. There haven't been any installations or system changes within that time period other than a patch for Norton Antivirus.
