Hi guys i have question. So a month ago i had a problem with my internet connection. I could not install the windows 7 updates a whole month. So when i finally had a internet connection i saw that i had 126 updates to install so I tried to install them and when my computer rebooten my pc showed op this error 'failure configuring windows 7 updates. We started to deploy W8 on our Institution, however we can't install .Net Framework 3.5. We've succesfully installed Framework 3.5 on W8 Professional, but not on W8 Enterprise. I recently had a hard drive crash and replaced it with a Seagate 1Tb Hard Disk running Windows 7 64bit. I have tried the intel rapid storage driver fix with no success. Looking for help on this issue on Vista Home edition 32 bit. I realize this error code is for XP, but it comes up when I try to uninstall Windows Security Essentials security software. I tried to install a recent update, and it gave me the code of 8004ff80 and would not allow me to install it, and it is causing microsoft update to not look for newer updates, apparently since the one it is recommending I install is causing this issue. I did trouble shooting and was told to reinstall some drivers I was having problems with. Now I can't reinstall cause I can't even find them anywhere or the info to reinstall. They had Code 10 on them. Then I downloaded a new driver for graphics cause I am having trouble when playing games and it won't recognize it. I just started getting a popup window stating I wasn't running Genuine Windows software. I replaced the hard drive about 3 weeks ago using a cloning program. Belarc is telling me I have Critical and Important windows updates, all starting with the letter &quotQ&quot. I go to windows updates but it doesn't allow me to update. Actually, I got my Dell inspiron 15(model-3521) laptop where windows 8 is pre-loaded. But, when I first started it, it asked for the activation and I didnt have either of the activation key or the windows 8 OS DVD with me(in case of win 7 laptops, the product key is written on the bottom of the laptop, but there is no such thing in my win 8 laptop). There is only a product ID written on the control panel. now, i'm skeptical about my OS status whether it is genuine or it is fake! please help. View this thread

My computer keeps crashing after it tells me to update upon restart. Once I do, I get to my log on screen and it's been changed. Once I'm at the desktop, it's blank and all my shortcuts are gone. Even worse is that I can only access programs and such by clicking on the lower task bar and opening it after activating the show "Desktop" feature. It keeps saying that windows is no longer compatible. Then I have to system restore and my computer is back to normal, but then it's constantly telling me to update.
