Howdy everyone! Shawn here. I've used Windows all my life. I'd love to get better at using Windows for personal and professional success. So, I'm here. The forum owner is also a friend, and I help him on another forum he runs, and he helps me on one I run. Other than that - I'm a 40-year-old married guy from Southern Illinois. I am a surveillance investigator and really into the outdoors!

Hi everyone, I'm not certain this is the right forum for me but I am really frustrated right now with Hotmail and customer support from Microsoft and I am looking for help or advice. I completely forgot my password to Hotmail (moving to South Korea form Canada...these things happen). I kept trying to access Hotmail with the result that I am now locked out. I have made five different requests to customer suppport over the last three days and I have had no response. I've tried to access the hotmail help forum on the microsoft site but I have to sign in with the hotmail username and password and, well...I am locked out of my hotmail account so I am unable to sign in. I'll be first to introduce myself to anyone that happens along. My name is Bob Schwarz and I am the owner of this community as well as a few other which are all a part of Schwarz Network. Yep, it was far cheaper to get an HP laptop with the Adobe CS4 suite via an educational package than to get a new Mac laptop so I did. 18 year Mac veteran (I'm an art director) but now also using Vista. So far, I love it. Best advice I've had... disable auto-updates from Microsoft.. Vista for Dummies is awesome (as is AskWoody.com, the author) I've had zero problems. Best thing about Vista (working in Windows) for me so far? The free apps like FileZilla that work 100% perfectly and provide what I need instead of having to buy numerous small apps. Hello everyone
