Developing cutting-edge skills isn’t just a priority—it’s a competitive necessity, as data from 2024 skilling trends revealed. According to TalentLMS, 71% of employees now seek more frequent skill updates, and 80% are calling on their organizations to prioritize upskilling and reskilling investments. Microsoft partners can turn this willingness to learn into an opportunity to drive innovation and growth: skilling trends in 2025 show growing demand for new, industry-specific skilling, particularly in AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, and data literacy and analytics. Studies also found a thirst for self-guided learning, bite-sized certifications, and career resilie…

Problem Summary:A user whose UPN changed due to a typo during onboarding in Microsoft is not synching with Apple Business Manager. The user now has the correct UPN in Microsoft, but the old, incorrect, UPN is still in ABM. This is preventing the user from signing into their Apple account because the account is not found.New users are being provisioned correctly, so provisioning is working for new users; only existing users with updates to their UPN is failing. How do I resolve this issue?More Details:I had a user whose name contained a typo in their original onboarding form, so their UPN was inView the full article

I propose a new approach to improving email security by allowing administrators to configure an “authenticity seal” or “brand” for emails originating from known domains (e.g., business partners). This feature would be particularly beneficial for enterprises, which rely heavily on secure communication with a limited number of trusted partners. By implementing this feature, Office 365 can help organizations better identify and mitigate the risk of phishing attacks, spoofing attempts, and other email-borne threats. I suggest initially testing only for domains that are already hosted in Office 365, since it is easier to ensure the authenticity and origin of emails from the se…

Currently the only way to determine the JavaScript add-ins installed in Excel, Word, or PowerPoint is to navigate to either of the following menu items: File > Get Add-ins > Office Add-insHome > Add-ins > More Add-ins > Office Add-insUnder 'Office Add-ins' you can select 'My Add-ins', 'My Organization', and/or 'Admin Managed' to find the JavaScript add-ins installed, and how they were deployed. It would also be helpful to enhance the Office JavaScript API so you can: Get back a list of all installed JavaScript add-insGet back a list of all installed JavaScript add-ins categorized/bucketed by 'My Add-ins', 'My Organization', and/or 'Admin Managed'We have s…

This is a fairly short post, but in my last post about deploying a Logic Apps Standard using Managed Identity and private networking, I'd mentioned the customer needed to run some automation tasks. Some of these tasks pertained to maintenance within their application, but some were cleaning up unused resources in Azure, specifically removing stale containers in blob storage. However, when trying to run the Remove-AzStorageContainer PowerShell cmdlet, we got the following error: "The term 'Remove-AzStorageContainer' is not recognized as a name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or executable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify tha…

I have a bookings where one "staff member" is assigned to all the services. This is an account that many people have access to. Currently we have one service in our bookings that allow folks to set up time with the staff to schedule time (30 minutes) to pickup their cell phone. We would like to add another service for folks to check out a hotspot. Hotspots can be scheduled for 1, 2 or 3 days. If we have a cell phone pickup on a Monday a 9:00 am, will that prohibit anyone for scheduling a hotspot that includes that day because the "staff member" is busy? These two services are able to occur at the same time -- meaning, I can have a cell phone pickup happen at the same time…

Security teams often struggle to understand the full context of an attack. In many cases, they rely solely on Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) without the broader insights provided by threat intelligence developed on Threat Actors, Attack Patterns, Identities - and the Relationships between each. This lack of context available to enrich their workflows limits their ability to connect the dots, prioritize threats effectively, and respond comprehensively to evolving attacks. To help customers build out a thorough, real-time understanding of threats, we are excited to announce the public preview of new Threat Intelligence (TI) object support in Microsoft Sentinel and in the U…

Allow multiple administrators to be notified for new bookings, not just the business email. I can't set up the admins as staff members on services as we have multiple and putting the Admin on each of those would limit the availability because each booking is on the "staff members" calendars within MS Bookings even if their settings say Outlook calendars do not affect the availability. In this blog series dedicated to Microsoft's technical articles, we'll highlight our MVPs' favorite article along with their personal insights. Lasse Nordvik Wedø, M365 MVP, Norway Microsoft 365 Copilot – Microsoft Adoption “I strongly recommend that anyone who works with adoption of Copilot (everyone?!?) familiarize themselves with the Copilot Adoption site and its resources. Over the past year, I have worked with numerous clients to implement Copilot in their organizations, and I've seen firsthand the transformative impact it can have on operations, when done right. I've also witnessed failures when organizations neglect to train their employees adequately. T…

Back in September 2021, we released Exchange Server updates that contain the Exchange Emergency Mitigation Service (EEMS). The EEMS service on your Exchange Servers connects to Office Configuration Service (OCS) to read the current state of mitigations. While we did not need to release any mitigations recently, we wanted to let you know of future change: One of older certificate types in OCS is getting deprecated. A new certificate has already been deployed in OCS, and any server that is updated to any Exchange Server Cumulative Update (CU) or Security Update (SU) newer than March 2023 will continue to be able to check for new EEMS mitigations. Impact The EEMS running …

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to the community in hopes that someone has encountered a similar issue and can provide guidance. We’ve developed a new app that we’re ready to submit to the Microsoft Marketplace with a transactable offer. However, during the submission process, we’re encountering a roadblock: when entering the desired app name, we receive the following message: "The name is not available." I contacted email address removed for privacy reasons for clarification, as the name isn’t currently used by any other app or offer and doesn’t appear to violate Microsoft’s naming conventions. They redirected me to Partner Center Support, where I was informed that the …

Greetings, We are trying to determine the correct VM sizing requirement for our AI workload, which is used for NLP processing. This workload does not require any training, but will only be used for inference. We have the following software configuration: a C# application that is heavily multithreaded using a lot of socket I/O. The application has concentrated bursts where 10-20 threads are fired concurrently to perform tasks (mostly socket I/O).This app communicates via dedicated sockets to: a Python application which performs various NLP tasks. This app is also multithreaded to handle multiple incoming requests from the .NET app. This app sends queries to a local LLM (mo…

Why Use cURL? Here are some scenarios where cURL can be particularly helpful: Lack of a Latest Browser for Local Testing: When customers do not have access to the latest browser versions, cURL can act as a lightweight alternative. No GUI Environments: Ideal for environments like Azure App Services (PAAS Servers) or Linux servers where GUI-based testing isn’t possible. Client Isolation: Browsers often behave differently due to enforced policies or extensions, making it harder to isolate issues. cURL provides a clean, policy-free testing environment. Detailed Diagnostics: It offers a detailed view of request-response cycles, including headers, status codes, and payloads. …
