Creating a unified, security-focused case management system Many SecOps teams use Microsoft Sentinel or Microsoft Defender to do security work, and rely on 3rd party tools to manage cases. The majority of these systems are not tuned to the unique needs of SecOps, resulting in generic views and data, lack of security context to efficiently resolve cases, increased time to respond, not to mention the incremental cost of implementing another system. Overreliance on 3rd party ticketing systems for communication and collaboration, inside and outside of the SOC, results in insufficient collaboration capabilities which are not fully integrated with SecOps workflows. Today, we …

Third party tools are a common part of any IT tech stack, but they often lack the functionality required for the unique needs of security operations. They may require significant customization or workarounds to address case management in the SOC, or lack the ability to collect details like threat intelligence that are critical for resolving an incident. They also may require context switching into different portals, keeping teams from working as efficiently as possible. For these reasons, we are excited to be introducing a new solution for case management, built specifically for SecOps teams, and integrated into the experience of Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR in …

With the Fundraising & Engagement app no longer available for license, is there any good dox that captures the differences between it and the Fundraising 'template' app that remains available from Nonprofit Cloud Solutions? What is in Microsoft Learn seems mostly tailored for the sunsetting package. For example, Receipts is still available in the Cloud template, but it appears to be totally manual. No automation, Receipt Batch, audit trail, etc. For nonprofits considering the Msft NP 'stack' of Fundraising+Volunteers+Outcomes+Grants, it's hard to do a decent evaluation of this (vs., say, Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud, where the docs for each are almost current with act…

Good afternoon. I have been tasked with calculating the deadline dates for start dates on rolling courses. I am currently working to develop the best system. Currently, multi people have been manually type in/copy/paste bulk data. The deadline spreadsheet for example has 15 different tabs on it. There are a few quirks here. For example, our December start date is always longer, due to the holiday/break schedule. I have included a brief data set, including the sequence formula I used to calculate the deadline. Some of the program courses last 3 weeks, some 6 weeks, others can be 9 - 11 weeks. I am intending to try the sequence formula in excel to see if I can develop a fo…

I'm having a problem when retrieving the approvals created. Until 2024-12-26 at 13:16:48 UTC, when I created an approval, either through the application or through the API, it immediately appeared when I used get in the endpoint: https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/solutions/approval/approvalItems. Now I'm only able to see the approvals from before 2024-12-26 at 13:16:48 UTC, there is no record of the new approvals. I also noticed that, in the application, it's not showing the name of the person to whom the approval request was sent, only the name of the person who approved it, both for the new requests and for the old requests that have already been completed. As a marketing professional with ADHD, I’ve learned to embrace the creative chaos that comes with my neurotype, but it also brings unique challenges. Before Copilot, managing my tasks and maintaining focus felt like an uphill battle – and if I’m being really transparent, it often still does. But now, I have a trusty sidekick. Copilot helps me stay on top of my work, tell compelling stories, and connect with people in more meaningful ways. In November, I was able to share my story with an audience during our Microsoft Ignite session: Empowering neurodivergent employees with Copilot. You can watch the full session video with on-stage panelists here. I am excited to share…

Creating secure, seamless, and branded user experiences in your external-facing applications, such as customer identity and access management (CIAM), is critical to growing your business. According to Verizon , cyberattacks, however, pose a significant threat to any business operating online, with common types including denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, password spray attacks, Slow Loris attacks, and brute force attacks. In 24% of the breaches, stolen credentials were the number one cause of issues, underscoring the importance of strong passwords and usage of multifactor authentication (MFA). The next is malware with 23%, human errors with 21%, and phishing with 17%. Hav…

Has anyone encountered issues with the "Teams Premium feature usage report" not showing accurate usage data? I ran the Teams Premium feature usage report (90-day usage) and noticed discrepancies. Specifically, the report identifies some users as never having used any Teams Premium features, including the Live Translation feature. Has anyone else experienced similar inconsistencies? Is there a known issue with how feature usage is tracked? Any insights or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated. View the full article

Introduction Hello everyone, My name is Andrew Coughlin, and I am a Cloud Solutions Architect at Microsoft, specializing in Azure Infrastructure. In my role, I assist customers with utilizing Azure Migrate to transition their virtual machines from on-premises environments to Azure. Recently, I encountered an issue related to the setup of Azure Migrate, which arises when certain built-in policies are configured to deny compliance settings for storage account and key vault setup. These policies are designed to ensure that storage accounts and key vaults are deployed securely. In this document, I will address the specific issue encountered and provide guidance on how to re…

I have a flow that will write details from a form when submitted. One question in the form is a choice field with an "other" option where they can enter text for the other option. I would like the flow to write "Other" as the choice column value in the SharePoint list and then take what they type in the form for the other text to be written to another SharePoint list column as the text of the other option. This will keep the column formatting on the list view consistent for the values in the choice column. Any ideas? View the full article

I have a project that I based on this sample project: https://github.com/AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-js/tree/dev/samples/msal-angular-v3-samples/angular-b2c-sample-app Currently I have the custom policies as intended. Button, redirects to a azure page, finishes w/e the custom policy is, redirects back to the web app. But now I need to using said custom policy as an iframe, basically the client requests that there is less one layer of buttons to pressed. Therefore I want the custom policy to be displayed as an iframe, making the web app feel more single page. I have looked around, but can't really find anything detailed enough.
