Malicious Software Removal Tool - signs that it was running

I just did autoupdate and included the removal tool for the first
time. Did it run while loading all the other updates? It's supposed
to, but I expected it to take longer, since it scans the whole disk,
doesn't it? But the whole update took, as usual, only 5-10 minutes.

It downloads, it runs, it goes away if nothing's found.

Has anyone tried running the full scan rather than the quick scan? On
W2K/Sp4, I get error 8050800C on full scan. There are also various PID
errors in the log. This only has started since Feb '07 release.

Tip: Temporarily disable real-time protection by your anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware applications (e.g., CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Spybot, AVG
Anti-Spyware) and/or any third-party firewall (e.g., ZA) before scanning.
