I have used Windows Vista since several weeks after released. I have
problem that everytime I access network (file sharing), vista is
totally not responding, not event alt+tab, ctrl+alt+del, task manager,
but it seems that Windows is still running. After pressing ctrl+alt
+del and waiting for about 2-3 minutes, there will be an small windows
says that system failed to open prompt something something. I left it
for about 10-20 minutes, then Vista becomes responding again, and I am
able to browse network (although this is not always the case, I have
left it once for more than 20 minutes, then I decide to physically
turn off my computer).
It's very ridiculous that even Windows XP/2000 was always responding
even windows explorer hang, I just simply press ctrl+alt+del, access
task manager, and then stop windows explorer, and run it again in
command prompt. But Windows Vista left me with nothing when explorer
seems to be not responding, no ctrl+alt+del, no alt+tab (and no need
to mention task manager). What is actually wrong with my Vista? I
suspect it's my AVG anti virus, but although I have turned it off
before accessing network, same problem still occurs.
Please help if you experience it and/or find solution.
