AVG's response -

When a file is moved AVG Virus Vault, it is deleted from its original
place, encoded and saved in a non-executable form to a hidden folder on
your harddrive. Your PC is not infected anymore. Therefor you should not
take any action, your computer is virus-free now.

If you think that the files that were detected are a false positive
detection please do the following:
AVG suggested . . .

1. Disable Resident Shield:

- Run AVG Control Center
- Double-click the AVG Resident Shield plugin
- Uncheck "Turn on AVG Resident Shield protection" option
- Confirm changes by the OK button

2. Restore the files from Virus Vault

- Open AVG Control Center
- Select the Virus Vault component and click on the Open button
- Find the file
- Right-click on it and choose "Restore file(s) as..."
- Choose a location where the file will be saved (for example the Desktop)

3. Send us the file via AVGDiag utility:

- Open AVG -> "Information" menu -> "Technical Support by E-mail"
- Enter the following code:
75G2
- Browse the file
- Finish the wizard
This way you will send us the file for further analysis.

Please do not forget to re-activate AVG Resident Shield again:
- Run AVG Control Center
- Select AVG Resident Shield (single click)
- Click on the "Activate" button on the bottom of the AVG Control Center
window

Here's my first message again:

New to group. I asked this question in the wrong forum. Hope this is the
right place now to ask it!

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0.6000 Build 6000, Microsoft
Money 2077 Home & Business v 16.0.150.1303 and AVG Internet Security 7.5.

On the 14th, AVG sent four files to the virus vault, two of which were
MNYCoreFiles\iofd.tlb and MNYCoreFiles.BAK . . . \iofd.tlb and two
related to the registry (I think). These files remain in the virus vault
and I have since used Microsoft Money and haven't encountered any
problems. (I'm assuming MNYCoreFiles relates to MS Money.

AVG classified the files as a virus, WIN32/PolyCrypt.

Couple of questions, should I remove the files from the virus vault or
restore them? I don't know what the files functions are, would restoring
them take Money back to what it was on the 14th?

I've contacted AVG and they've responded but I'm seeking help here on
this forum before I follow AVG's suggestion.

Sorry, I was going to reply to the person who asked what AVG suggested I
do. Now that I broke the thread, I hope this makes sense!

Thanks,
Kay
