Phishing

We just received new laptop with Vista Home Premium. It also had Norton
Internet Security 2007 installed.
Now get two pop-ups. The one from NIS reads:
Norton Internet Security is not currently your default phishing filter.
Would you like to make it your default phishing filter?
YES NO (Don't ask me again.)

I've also received a pop-up from MS stating something to the effect:

"Turn ON automatic Phishing Filter
Turn OFF automatic Phishing Filter"

I just close (X) the box.

Which one should I choose? The MS or NIS filter to click "YES" to?

Does anyone know?

We're all volunteers here.

You're asking for opinions so here's mine: I recommend choosing IE7's
Phishing Filter /and/ getting rid of NIS 2007 ASAP, Alice.

1. Uninstall all Norton software via Add/Remove Programs.

2. Enable the Windows Firewall.

3. Run this removal tool:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

4. Immediately install the 30-day free trial version of, e.g., NOD32* or
KAV7**

5. Manually update your new anti-virus application then run a full system
scan.

Do any problems persist now?
