Vista not creating shortcuts?

Hi!

I just got C&C3 and Driver: Parallel Lines today. Have just installed Vista,
updated it all etc. but for both games no shortcuts are added to the desktop
or start menu. It's not doing it for anything I install. Anyone know why? >.<

Desktop Shortcuts do not come with a lot of 3rd party programs.

Go to Start, your program in start menu, right-click on it, send to, create
shortcut on desktop.

With these 2 games, as with pretty much 99% other games I use they do. I
tried on my old XP machine and they were there just fine. InstallShield
doesn't even give me the option to create the desktop shortcut, let alone
create the start menu ones, on Vista.

Try running the setup in XP compatibility mode.

Have you checked to see if it was even installed? If so, you can go to
program files then the name of the program and find the .exe that starts the
program. If it runs properly when you click on it from there, you can right
click on the .exe and select create shortcut. You can then drag and drop
the created icon to your desktop or the start menu. Create 1 for each if
you want.
