how do I get rid of Yahoo on my desktop
I managed to delete it from my toolbar
MS must have made a deal and now I'm stuck looking at their ridiculous logo

MS did not make a deal with Yahoo. You have something else installed and
this third-party made a deal with Yahoo. Since you haven't provided much
information - we don't even know where you see "their ridiculous logo" -
I can't begin to guess what you installed. If you have an OEM computer
(HP, Dell, Sony, etc.) is probable that *they* made the deal with Yahoo.
If you have AT&T DSL, then *they* made the deal with Yahoo.

Look in Add/Remove Programs and try and find other Yahoo-related items.

If you still can't find where the logo is coming from, then come back
with a better description of what/where you are seeing and we'll try to
help you.
