my computer icon will not open

Hi,
This is my first time to post.
"My computer icon" will not open and will not work when I try to get to it another way. Would that be a computer or a microsoft problem. I have Microsoft office professional edition 2003.

When you say it doesn't work what do you mean? A little more detail will help to solve the problem
