Disconnected Network Drive

Darren

I have a 2008 SBS as the main server with shared drives and 2008 Server with
Terminal Services for the logins. The drives are mapped in the login script
using net use commands.

All of the mapped drives are showing Disconnected Network Drive, even though
they function perfectly. Users can read, write, etc with no problems.

This is one of three sets of servers I have set up (totally different sites,
exact same hardware and software) and is the only one that has this problem.

Hoping for some help.

Thanks.
Darren.

You don't actually seem to have a problem, other than the "disconnected"
indication worrying you. This link may help:

Thanks for the link to that article, I had seen it in my google search.
However, the problem is that the drive is NEVER connected. It's not a time
out issue, it will currently never say connected.

It is also the same on the SBS box itself, so I think it has to be something
from the sharing side. The shares were done through the right click, share,
give permissions wizard that is new in 2008.

Whilest I know it's fully functional, the client is asking why it says
disconnected all the time.

Darren.
