Server 2003 Stops Sharing

We've got a 2k3 server that functions as our file server. 1-2 times a day it
stops sharing anything, and must be rebooted. We lose access to all shared
drives, including administrative shares. In addition, we can't remotely
manage the server or connect to the registry remotely. I AM able to see the
shares via \\localhost, but not from any other machine on the network. The
only thing we can do to fix it is RDP in and reboot.

I have tried restarting the 'server' service to correct the problem, but it
refuses to stop. There are NO unusual events in any of the event logs.

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated, I'm pulling my hair out!

Well, it would be nice to have some log excerpts from around the time
the sharing "fails" so that we can see what happens (then again, yes, I
know error logs don't help that often).

Hello Carlo,

Most of the time when i heard a reboot solves connection problems it belongs
to DNS configuration, so please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the server
and a problem machine, so we can exclude this.

Hello Carlo,

Please remove the x.x.x.14 from the DNS/WINS list if this doesn't have that
server roles. Also post an unedited ipconfig /all from the x.x.x.10 server.
The rest of the output looks ok.
