server 2008 R2 is not hibernating

Hello when I try to hibernate the server a black screen appears and
after 2 seconds the desktop re-appears. Is there any fix for it, the
server has just been installed and hibernate worked fined for the first
days. I already tried to enable hibernate command but in vain.

can you help pls ?

Hello Netman,

Is the hypervisor enabled? Then you can't use hibernation. You have to disable
hypervisor to enable hibernation:

I tried but it fails...

C:\Windows\System32>bcdedit /copy {current} /d "Microsoft Windows Server
2008 -
no hypervisor"
The specified entry identifier is not valid.
The parameter is incorrect.

I don't have the answer, but I'm wondering why you want a server to
hibernate.

You are right to think so but this is a test server and hibernate would
save me 5 mins each time I start it.
