Hi all,
I recently installed on our Terminal Server 2008, SP2. This was to fix
another issue we hoped could solve, but instead of fixing the problem it gave
us an extra problem.
Now when users are working remotely with their remote appz, and they wanna
print documents to a local printer or pdf creator the size of the print job
is huge.
Printing to a printer the file goes up to 11MB-13MB, which causes very huge
latencies. Printing to win2PDF the size is like 4MB which normally used to be
15kb.
I have seen the SP2 update has around 53 fixes about printing. But this is a
real problem giving an update that causes such a huge file sizes to print
remotely.
I think this has to be the XPS printer which renders the files way to big. I
have alrzady set it to Maximum compression, with no succes. Also changed the
default printer from xps to the office document writer. This also doesn't fix
a thing. The printers our clients use are all redirected. This worked fine
before the update but gave us troubles after the update.
Not sure if we uninstall SP2, would resolve the problem cause it probably
already changed settings.
Is there anybody that can assist to help or give me guidance how to solve
this annoying print problem.
