You should look up the meaning of the word cryptic.

Why ? I didn't see that he tried the standard windows behaviour

of re-installing the video drivers.

How many Windows users have come here saying they've got a black

screen, and the advise was to open a command prompt and type:

explorer.exe and press enter.

Oh My God!!!!! A command line in Windows...what is this world

coming to ?!?!?!!?

They don't need to enter a command to use explorer. They can double click

the icon. Oops.

With Ubuntu, quite a few "fixes" require line commands and not clicking on

an ICON. As I said, most users would be better of using Windows to get real

work done.

I haven't used a command line in Ubuntu for YEARS. Type the Win Key+R

and then type cmd.exe if you want to run command lines in Windows. Or is

it there just for grins and has no useful features? Why is it there,

Nymshifter?

You have just proven you are a complete jackass.....and it is

you that lack reading comprehension....

Do I need to explain it to you ?

OK.

The Windows user PC boots up and it is a black screen. The

cursors there, but nothing else. Got it so far ?

Tell me, how do they start Explorer from an icon on the

desktop, or a start menu, if explorer is not started and

didn't create the desktop icons and start menu/taskbar ?

This is just too easy....like picking on a retarded kid.
