Somehow I have lost some original icons in Windows 7.

How can I retrieve them?

TIA

Win 7 doesn't include any mail program, presumably you downloaded /

installed WLM

No, it doesn't but I use it running W7.

The icon is shown but not the original one.

It happened when I uninstalled Nero 9 , after

an installation went wrong.

For Windows Live Mail:

If you've got a 32 bit system go to:

C\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\Wlmail.exe

If you've got a 64 bit system go to:

C\Program Files(x86)\Windows Live\Mail\Wlmail.exe

Right-click Wlmail.exe and 'Send to desktop (create shortcut)'.

That will give you a new shortcut with the correct icon.

(You can use the same procedure for any program's exe file.)

Just to add here, you can also right click on the desktop icon and

choose properties, then click on change icon. Next just click on browse

and go to the path you've mentioned and have a choice of 5 different icons.
