Well there is one "troll" who posts a lot of pro-Linux. He is mostly

harmless and keeps it up cause it gets under the skin of one or more (may

all be the same person, or a couple nymshifting to appear like many) who

really need to get over it.



I just keep killfiling them as they popup.

Perhaps a better question is "what does it do that 10.9 didn't do?"



From a quick look at the "new Stuff" entry on the Ubuntu web site it:



Uses a new version of Gnome but doesn't tell us what version it is.

Remembering the cries if Woe and the scramble to re-install the

previous stable version when KDE issued the New, Better, version a

year, or so ago, I'll opt out.



Uses Linux Kernel 2.6.32 and remember this is a Beta version. I

currently use Linux Kernel 2.6.31 in a stable installation.



Firefox and Google is out and Yahoo is in. you use it, I'll stay with

Google - I know that it works.



Twitter seems to be a part of the New Ubuntu - if nothing else a

rather good reason not to use it.



Wow, Ubuntu now has a music store where one may PURCHASE the latest

music. sort of a change from open source, what?



I could go on but the above should be sufficient for anyone who is

interested and probably too much for those who aren't

now. Imagine, a FREE OS that does what everyone needs, has no activation or

at past history and how Linux has "increased marketshare", it will be 50
