where to find construction symbols (sq. ft. etc...)

I know the symbol you are talking about but only because I've used in in

previous jobs. Unfortuantely that symbols isn't universally used. Some

people use ft with a superscript 2. My advice would be to use the

abbreviation "sq ft" to avoid any confusion.
