Startup: double or nothing.

I've been having trouble lately with Start/Programs/Startup.

If I put a shortcut in the "specific user" Startup, it never runs:

C:\docs-n-sttngs\user-id\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\asdf.lnk

(does nothing asdf.exe doesn't start)

("Autoruns" from sysinternals show NO such autorun)

But if I put the link in the "All Users" Startup, it runs TWICE:

C:\docs-n-sttngs\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\asdf.lnk

(asdf.exe starts, then immediatetries to start AGAIN)

(Message box pops up: "Asdf: program does not allow re-entry.")

("Autoruns" from sysinternals shows TWO autoruns asdf.lnk)

What's up with that? I don't recall ever having this problem until

a few days ago. Am I doing something wrong? Or maybe something

in the registry needs tweaking?

Oops, never mind. (Re: Startup: double or nothing.)

But on looking for "Startup" in registry, the cause came leaping

out at me. My main user was set to use "All Users" startup as

"user" startup. SO, when Windows launched, the shortcuts in

"All Users\Start Menu\Startup" were run once (for "all users"),

then run AGAIN (for "this specific user").

DOH!!!

Never mind.
