Win2k wakes not up from S1 sleep

I replaced a mainboard in an old PC (not with the

same brand, as it's hard to find a new board with 2 IDE,

AGP, and LGA775) Anyway it is dual-boot XP and 2000.

All is lovely if running XP.

If the system goes into S1 state, it will

wake by pressing mouse button or keyboard.

BUT in Win 2000, it goes to sleep, and only pressing

power button will revive the slack bugger.

I have gone through control panel, and can't figure out

what setting will cure this!

This one may help.

How to replace the motherboard on a computer that is running Windows Server

2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000

Just shut off all the power saver crap. None of it ever worked in

Windows 95, 98, and 2K, and probably dont work in newer versions of

windows. It serves no purpose anyhow, the only thing that really

saves power is shutting your computer off when not in use, or at least

shut the monitor off. It's not that hard to flip a switch when you

walk away from the keyboard.
