Can't believe what I read

O

Opee Taylor

Funny thing. I did a google search for this exact same problem and stumbled upon this forum article. It cannot be described any better in the first post. The error is as it is stated. What good were the responses to do a google search? Classic. I too, tried the same things as the original poster indicated in attempting a repair. Safe mode and repair results in the same error and looping reboot. No one could possibly tell you more information about what is occurring with lsass.exe because it won't boot. I have used this site in the past for helpful information, but this article has to contain the most worthless bits of advice I've seen on the web in quite some time. Did either of the replying posters think this wouldn't end up as a google search result and therefore provide absolutely no value?

One of the workstations on my network booted up today with the following

message before the login box came up:

lsass.exe system error - the specified domain name did not exist.

Then it reboots and repeats this loop. This workstation (as well as every

other workstation on my network) has updated virus scanning software and

recent windows updates.

I tried using the repair tool on the XP pro disc and the same error comes up

during the repair. Any ideas on how to fix this problem without the ability

to run windows (safe mode or otherwise)?

issue which, as I stated, is on this machine since i'm good about keeping up

with my windows updates.

Any other ideas?

Perhaps their crystal balls are not working :)

Believe it or not, but some posters do not know how to Google or do not

realise that they can search for help in Google - I didn't 10 years ago.

How would anybody know into which category you fall - hence the reference to

good posting - it saves time for those helping.

You have already lost one good helper - read the link then come back before

you alienate the rest.

Have you really read all 150,000 entries for 'lsass.exe system error' ?

Good luck
