When I start-up in W98 I am asked for a password. How do I get rid of that?
I don't want to use a password.

Thank you,
Adrian.

I went to the windows site and downloaded the newest BIOS update and
that cleared the password on my child's computer.

All Users: A general warning about being careful when you flash or reflash
you BIOS is that if you have a power outage at the time due to perhaps a
lightning storm and do not have a battery backup then you may destroy your
motherboard. You would most likely at the least have to reflash the mb.
Sorry, k_a but I must argue with the merit of your suggestion by saying that
flashing a BIOS is not for the faint of heart and should not just be used to
clear passwords. Alan Edwards has the right advice for Adrian. (the op.)
