We have recently installed a Windows 8 Pro edition OS on one of our 64bits laptops, and the installation works great. Installation of programs have worked fine (such as Office and Opera webreader), but when installing latest versions of java (Version 7 Update 10), both 32 & 64, the installation stops and shows an error. We downloaded Java from the official site and the Windows 8 is activated with our valid key recieved via e-mail. Below roughly translated errormessage from google translate:
"Can not open thisinstallation package. Verify that the package exists and that youhave access to the one, or contact the applicationvendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."- I run the installation as administrator.

Does anyone know what this could be caused by? I have searched the web for two days without finding this out. Offcourse we open internet explorer from desktop mode and download it directly to desktop mode where we also try to install it from. Please reply here and/or send an e-mail to morten.austad@c2i.net if you would be so kind! This since I am helping someone else with this issue and will not be checking this thread on a daily basis.
In advance, THANK YOU!
