I am unable to burn CDR or DVD+R discs from Explorer. After inserting a blank disc and clicking Burn to disc, a dialog pops up - "Windows can't read the disc in drive X: Make sure that the disc uses a format that Windows recognizes. If the disc is
unformatted you need to format it before using it." There is no option to format a non-RW disc.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the drive from Device Manager does not help. I tried installing PowerISO, and it burns discs OK using the same drive. This PC used to have Windows 7, and there were no burning problems.
Does anyone know what is going on here?
