For several days now, when I start my system in the morning ...
YES! I insist on shutting down at night. I think Microsoft is TOTALLY WRONG in making it so HARD to shut down Windows 8 relative to Windows 7. The method I use is to go to Settings > Power > Shutdown. Wait for the monitor to turn off. Then press
and hold the power button on the PC which initiates a hardware shutdown.
... the system does a "Scanning and Repairing Drive" ... Which takes five minutes or so but has always completed successfully and then Windows 8 boots normally.
What is happening? Should I be doing something differently?
