Imagine the Ultimate edition that never was.
This hypothetical beast would have all the best stuff from Enterprise and Pro, nothing more. Everything would be bundled in. Of course, it would be incrementally more expensive to cover Microsoft's costs for proprietary codec licenses,
etc.
There are things in Enterprise I like, but the volume licensing model doesn't seem to suit me. Basically I have a need for one copy. Pro, even with a free Media Center, doesn't compel me to upgrade.
So...
Basic question for those still sitting on the fence (i.e., who haven't yet bought Windows 8):
If a Windows 8 Ultimate upgrade became available, say for the same price Windows 7 Ultimate was a few years ago, would you buy it?
Would having the best of all worlds be enough to push you off the fence?
