Organizing video in Windows 8?

So I have a bunch of (completely legal) video files that I've collected over the years and I'd like to play them via Xbox Videos in Windows 8. However, I'm finding it hard to figure out how to organize them. If I have a series of TV shows, is there
a way to keep them together and organized rather than spread out in alpha order? Is there a proper way to apply some tags to have a video file appear in &quotmovies&quot rather than &quotother&quot?
