Windows 8 Mail app not showing any emails.

On the last couple days i noticed that my Win8 Mail does not show any of my emails from any of my accounts there. Not sure what is going on or how to fix it. The folder selection panel seems to update, but the email selection does not show anything nor does
the email body panel itself
any idea how to fix it?
