I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here
goes. I Have an old Dell 266 running W98FE and for some reason I can not get
any sound from Windows Media Player 7.1. It is not Muted and the volume
slider is at Max. Other audio players (Real, IfranView, and Musicmatch)
work great.
I did have some major Bootup problems a few weeks ago and through blind
luck I got the computer working by reinstalling Windows over top of it's
self(a no-no) Which I had to do a second time and then run Windows RegClean
to get it to Boot. Restore would not solve the problem. I did re-install
WMP7.1 and I have scanned my computer with AVG, AdAware, Spybot, and CW
Shredder with no problems found.
Any help would be appreciated
