Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Windows 8 boots ok. Logs in ok and start screen displays ok. I can run apps from the start screen without any problems. If however, I launch the desktop, it's blank. No icons, no wallpaper and nothing
at all on the task band. Right click on the 'start button' I can access the usual stuff. Set command within cmd shows that the path to the desktop is correct Looking in resource manager shows that explorer is waiting on a service (WCT) but I can only get a
pid for svchost. Has anyone seen the sort of thing before? Does anyone have any quick solution? This is the home desktop that the wife and kids have access to and there is a growing amount of decent in the ranks. If I am unable to resolve this soon, I'm going
to wipe and rebuild. Cheers, Jay...
