Windows 8 Pro 32 bit updating issues

On many occasions Windows 8 Pro update tries to update and cannot due to unknown issues. I am running a dual core Pentium 3.4mHz with 4mb ram and a Nvidia GT7800 128mb graphics card on a Asus P5LD2. Looked into troubleshooting and got no where.
