I have a SQL based maintenance management system that has entry points to various modules like equipment lists and inventory lists. We use BMP files for the icons that users can click on to navigate to the various menus. They display perfectly in all versions
of Windows until Windows8 came out. I can temporarily see them by going into Control Panel, selecting Personalization, changing from the Windows default themes of "Windows" to High Contrast #1, then back to "Windows". My navigation
buttons appear as the normally do. If I log out of my application and log back in, those navigation buttons are hidden again. They are there since I can click on the spot that any of the buttons should appear, and it does send me to the correct screen. Any
ideas??
