I work in IT at a large university. I ordered a Dell XPS14 laptop for a person in my unit. I ordered it with Win 7 pro installed, but I just took it out of the box and it has Win 8 Pro installed. Win 7 Enterprise (vol. licensed) is our standard desktop config,
so I want to downgrade. I believe this is allowable with the volume licensing -- activation should be through our local kms server.
My question is with the UEFI. I turned security OFF, but now I'm not sure about the installation. Do I need to reconfigure things back to CMOS, or can I still use UEFI and the current HD setup, or do I need to reformat the drive?
