I know there are already a few threads related to monitor detection problems, but my issue seems to be somewhat unique...
I'm running an HP p2-1394 and two AOC 2243W (21") monitors. Most of the time I have no problems, but every so often, my second monitor decides to quit working. Sometimes it occurs after Windows updates automatically, sometimes just randomly
when I boot up. Both monitors appear to be detected when I look at the display settings, but the problematic monitor will read "No Signal" when I turn it on (it turns on with the computer when I boot up, but then shuts itself off once the login
screen comes up).
Under "Devices & Printers" >> AOC2243 (the monitor) >> Properties >> Hardware >> Properties: it reads "This device is working properly"
The Driver Date is 3/18/2010, and version 1.0.0.0, and the "Update Driver" button is not active/available. Troubleshooting identifies no problems. Oddly, after I've rebooted a random number of times and/or just waited a random amount
of time, the monitor just comes back to life. There seems to be no method to this madness.
It seems that it's got to be a driver issue, but the inactivity of the "Update Driver" options tells me otherwise...what the heck is going on?
Thanks ahead of time for any help.
