Office home and sudent 2013 for windows 8 is not responding,

I am having the same problem my word and excel keeps coming up with program not responding and then forces me to close the program, I have spent the last four days trying to sort it out with no luck i have tried everything, I have tried also the
same as Mommokou1, wish i had not upgrade to windows 8 and office home and sudent 2013 has caused me three days lost time, can anyone help me or have had the same problem
