Can't download update for Security Essentials - I get a pop up box that says feature you are trying

Also, I was unable to install windows update and my Sun Java can't find the registry key specified...HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREJavaSoftJave Runtime Environment1.7.0_17
