My full scan has stopped on system 3 and won't continue and I can not cancel scan

I ran a Full scan last nite at 11::30 pm and it is the next day at 2:21 and it stuck on system 3. It won't let me cancel the scan. I do not have an error number or anything saying something is wrong.
How do I fix this problem.
I also have Avira on my computer too. Do I need to delete that for this program to run correctly
