After receiving some automatic updates, (Thursday) the time on my computer reset iself back to its original factory settings in 2001. So, when I plug the computer in, it automatically goes to set up. (I would normally plug it into the electricity and
then switch the machine on via the tower button - but the set up process by-passes the tower button.) The machine seems to think it is a new machine again. I have since used custom update and it returned the error code 0x80072F8F. The directions on this
to alter the clock worked at first, but the clock returned to the 2001 setting when the machine was next turned on. The 2001 settings have the added problem of making site security certificates invalid in Internet Explorer. Can you advise please on how to
solve the problem?
