uninstalled & reinstalled office 2013 - STILL can't pin!

Can pin items to Windows explorer folder successfully without issues. Since I've installed Office 2013 I have not been able to pin items on Word or Excel (only items I need to pin things on). A full reinstall, complete with all the nightmares
that gave me, has not helped.
