MSE 4.2.223.0 installation

I just installed MSE 4.2.223.0 in my desktop running Windows 7 Pro and noticed that all but one item is missing from the contents of the Real-time tab in MSE version 2.1.1116.0 installed in my laptop running Windows 7 Pro. In other words, the only item listed
is "Turn on real-time protection (recommended)" while "Select real-time protection options" and all the opitions are missing. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Or did I have a bad install?
