MS Essential : Annoying popup from task tray notifying me "Threat has been Cleaned" No Action Neede

MS Essentials detected a virus, turned out to be TrojanJS:medfos.b, ran full scan and have removed culprit.....but I continue get a popup notice telling me that a threat has been cleaned followed by No Action necessary. If I go into the history log, I
see that it shows these pop ups also. Although I don't think I have the virus, the popup is annoying. I've had MS Essential for several years and not experienced this. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks
