How do I fix error code 0x80070715?

We had a power outage and after it was reistalled the computer did an update in Security Essentials, but now the error code window keeps popping up everytime I log in! How can I fix this? I can't even uninstall SE to reinstall it and fix the problem! Update
wizard says it can't locate SE to uninstall it.
